Glasgow gets its second Guinness World Tea Dance Record

swing sensation Guinness World Record.jpgOn Sunday 12 September, three hours of dance music from That Swing Sensation Big Band with vocalists June Love and Iain Ewing once again had Glasgow dancing into the record books with the Largest Tea Dance in the World.
The event, organised by the Evening Times in association with Glasgow Life and the Glasgow Housing Association, saw over 600 dancers from around the country take to the "floor" in the city's George Square to beat the latest record, set in London in July with 254 couples.
During the day the crowd were treated to a stunning display of expert dancing from dance legends Andrew and Margaret Cowan , the classic Fifteen minute Foxtrot from our good friends Gary and Susan of the fabulous Flyright Dance Company - and some great music from That Swing Sensation as well of course:-)
