Charity events 2011
Each year the musicians of That Swing Sensation are delighted to be able to dedicate some of their time and efforts to help raise funds for charity. Here is a little information on this years good causes and event dates.
ENABLE Scotland
ENABLE Scotland campaigns for a better life for children and adults with learning disabilities and supports them and their families to live, work and take part in their communities.
ENABLE Scotland is the featured charities for the Sax Appeal recitals in Glasgow's Kibble Palace on 11 April, 9 May, 6 June and 8 August and Sax Appeal at the Edinburgh Fringe on Saturday 21 August.
Help for Heroes
The money that raised at Help for Heroes is used to support wounded Servicemen and women.
The money raised at on 25 January will go towards this worthy cause.
The Mark Wright Project
During the "Puttin' on the Blitz" big band dance night organised by the band and the Kennedy Cupcakes on 22 April we will be raising funds for The Mark Wright Project
The project
does a great job of actively supporting our ex-Service men and women, and their families in addressing the invisible wounds of war, and easing ex-Service men and women’s transition into civilian life.

East Kilbride & District Dementia Carers Group
Formed in 1991 by the Carers of people with dementia, the East Kilbride & District Dementia Carers Group is a not for profit, registered charity, run by a voluntary management committee. It provides high-quality personalised care for people with dementia, and support for carers and provides information, advice and training to the general public and other organisations.
Our fundraising event for the group takes place on Friday 10 June.
Mary's Meals
Mary’s Meals is an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
The Charity Fundraiser in Hamilton Town House on 26 August aims to generate funds to help them with their aims.
Later in the year on 28 October the band takes to the stage at Glasgow City Chambers as part of the fundraiser by
Artists & Musicians for Mary's Meals .
