Big Band Gala at the Ayr Gaiety
From the moment the curtains opened to the sound of air raid sirens to the final poignant notes of Auld Lang Syne, The Gaiety Big Band Gala on Saturday 31 January was a night to remember.
The show, produced by That Swing Sensation in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice, featured the talents
of That Swing Sensation, June Love and her band, George Rodger's Gypsy
Jazz Quintet, The John Meechan Dancers, vocalist Adrian Nash and Ayrshire's
youngest big band, The South Ayrshire Jazz Band who treated the audience
to an enthusiastic rendition of big band classics.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone, performers, staff, audience and volunteers, who all contributed to this great night.
